Sessions
Typically sessions will take the following form
MAIN SESSION
We read the poem which everyone will have looked at in preparation
Discussion of context
Discussion of how the poem works
sound, wording, tone, meanings
[Exercises based on the poem]
Poem for next time
INDIVIDUALS
after main session for individual queries
together with anything that crops up in discussion
Program
Each session will be devoted to a single poem. The exact 'running order' hasn't been decided yet.
The idea is to look at poems written with range of techniques.
According to the wishes of the group writing exercises can be included and/or time given to poems written by the group and using aspects of the model poem
